Proposed addition to plot summary.

I had added the following material to the plot summary:

As Phil recites the vows of renunciation, the scene is intercut with scenes of his son Luke carrying out various acts of retaliation, on Phil's orders, against the people who are causing problems for his family: knocking a block out from under a trailer parked on a driveway so that the trailer rolls over a lemon tree than Haley had earlier knocked a branch off; using a bb-gun to shoot the balloons that are blocking Phil's billboard; releasing rats at the party of a girl who had stolen Alex's birthday party theme; and placing the head of a stuffed Zebra in the bed of a boy who was making fun of Luke at school (but had a fear of zebras). The final scene has Phil's wife Clair commenting on how odd it was that all of the problems had cleared up, to which Phil, sitting in his office, responds, "don't ask me about my business", after which Luke closes the office door.

This was reverted as "too much detail". I disagree with this reversion. This description of the sequence of events captures the nature and resolution of each of the "problems" alluded to, and demonstrates how this episode pays homage to The Godfather, by paralleling the interpolation of the christening with the acts of retribution, by having one of them being a (stuffed) animal head discovered by a person in their bed, and with Phil's line and Luke closing the door at the end. If not included in the plot, it should be included in the "Cultural references" section, which currently states that the episode has an ending similar to The Godfather, but says nothing about how it is similar. bd2412 T 16:53, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

The only reason I reverted it is because it is too detailed for the plot compared to the rest of it and the other stories. The montage is only few seconds long. The phrase "When he realizes that being kind doesn't help sometimes, he follows another path" is to cover somehow that part at the end of the episode. I would suggest to add it to the "Cultural references" section but as I can see you already suggested it as well. I think it would fit better there. TeamGale 17:14, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
