editIf anyone has access to the New York Times, this story seems to discuss using a sliced grapefruit to perfume a hat. [1]. ChildofMidnight (talk) 22:14, 11 August 2999 (UTC)
- Actually, nothing there relevant for this article, though there are fascinating glimpses into the harried life of 1908 middlebrow homemakers. EEng (talk) 02:13, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
Correcting the creator of the Campbell Kids and link rot
editNot sure how to handle it, but in this article it is mentioned that cartoonist Dik Browne (of Hagar the Horrible fame) created both Miss Chiquita and the Campbell kids. While it appears to be true that he did create Miss Chiquita, the part pertinent to this article, he did not appear to have created the Campbell Kids (whose illustrator is credited as Grace Gebbie Drayton in the book Campbell Kids: A Souper Century and other places). The misinformation comes from the Chiquita Brands description of Miss Chiquita from which the bit in the article is sourced (see: ref 8, dead link) but which can now be found at this address: http://www.chiquitabrands.com/CompanyInfo/MissChiquita.aspx stating the same misinformation. I am going to go ahead and "be bold"; fixing both the misinformation by editing out the bit about the Campbell Kids which in any case is irrelevant to this article, and updating the link used to reference the correct bit crediting Dik Browne for Miss Chiquita. I've never done this before, so bear with me. 24.180.194.172 (talk) 04:11, 14 August 2011 (UTC)
Mendiant
editIs there some reason why the entire content of the wiki page for Mendiant needs to be reproduced on this page? --Rob Kelk 18:52, 27 December 2018 (UTC)
