Well, I tried anyway. edit

Spent a frustrating afternoon/evening hoping to find more verifiable info and sources to expand this article but just not much out there online. I did rewrite to at least take out some of the blatant advertising aspect and make it more Wiki-friendly. If anyone else can come up with more info, in particular 1)dates of corporate ownership changes 2)maximum number of franchises at peak 3)current number of franchises -- by all means go for it! The chain no longer exists as a single entity. edit

Although the bottling rights are still apparently under common ownership (FBG Bottling Group - Frostop.com), apparently the restaurant chain as a single entity went under in the 1980's and some of the remaining franchisees continued to operate independently under the Frostop name. Some of them apparently make their own root beer, while some sell the bottled product. See http://laplacefrostop.blogspot.com/2010/08/frosty-facts.html for some more info. (They claim to make their own.) Ted's Frostop (http://www.tedsfrostop.com) shows the bottled product on their website. 208.45.156.4 (talk) 14:20, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
