Preliminary thoughts on GA potential edit

This seems to have strong potential for a GA. Minor suggestions:

You might define "Zone system" in the lead if it's his main claim to fame.
""without a doubt, the individual with the longest history of participation in the Southern California Salon movement." -- the speaker of this quotation, which could shade into interpretation, should probably be named in text
Listing the chapter titles of his book seems like slightly excessive detail (criterion 3b)
Some of the article's sections are very short--is it possible to combine any of these?
