Hullaballoo Wolfowitz removed the valuable non-free image of Florin Fodor standing on the very small boat that he used to dodge icebergs during his 2000 kilometer expedition. His or her only explanation was "nonfree lede image in BLP".

This is the second time they excised this image The first time was just over a year ago.

The wikipedia's rules for non-free images are more restrictive than fair use laws require. Nevertheless, I think this image complies with those rules, as well. No free replacement is possible. Really understanding how small, and dangerous Florin Fodor's voyage was isn't really possible from a verbal description of his boat.

I encourage HW to return here, and offer a convincing explanation as to why this image should be excised. Geo Swan (talk) 00:29, 26 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • HW did not return, so I restored the image, a second time. Geo Swan (talk) 14:16, 2 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

I've declined the pseudo speedy for File:Florin Fodor in Grise Fiord - October 2006.jpg. If someone could identify that boat make/model AND get a free image, then it should be replaced, but certainly does not fall anywhere near into the might reasonably be found category, that is required for a replaceable image - the boat is way too old for any identification. I've popped it into the infobox for now, as NF images need to be on a page. Ronhjones  (Talk) 21:59, 5 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
