Hello,

Last week I wrote an article of Flevans. In order to do so, I did a research in many webs which links I included as a documentation in the article. I did not copy and paste any text, I put quite a big effort in this since English is not my first language.

The page was erased under following reason:

"Article about a band, singer, musician, or musical ensemble, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject"

I believe this this statement wrong. This DJ has published four albums and several more works, he has participate with many DJs as Kid Loco and Bonobo. Flevans participate as a bass in the band Backini. Doing a search for Flevans in Wikipedia you may find that there is many articles pointing to no article of Flevans.

If you want more prove of his importance in music here you have some links to his career and work.

I think that by deleting this article with no further research you are committing a mistake.

Thanks for your attention.

Hello. Musicians are expected to meet at least one of the relevant notability criteria. Merely publishing albums is not sufficient, but it sounds as though you are asserting that this artist meets #6? (see link). If this is the case, give a reliable source indicating so, and the article might not be speedily deleted. Please note that self-published sources such as myspace pages don't qualify as reliable. Hello Feezo, and thanks for your attention and quick answer.

Flevans have got so many appearances you can check in the following link to Discogs, one of the most reliable data bases in the Internet.

http://www.discogs.com/artist/Flevans#t=Appearances_All&q=&p=1

As yo can see among albums he has participate you can find:

Spooked Kid Loco - AnotherLateNight - Azuli Records

and

Hey Mr Bundle Bonobo - Solid Steel Presents Bonobo: It Came From The Sea - Ninja Tune

This information is already in Wikypedia:

In the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Another_Late_Night:_Kid_Loco you can check track 19.

besides in the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Came_from_the_Sea you can check track 6.

There is more things that prove Flevans notability's for being in Wikipedia (point 5 of notability), he has released 3 albums with Tru Thoughts a quite important discography (please follow next links) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tru_Thoughts

http://www.tru-thoughts.co.uk/?page=home

He has also released an album with Jack To Phono Records.

http://www.jacktophono.com/

Although is a less important label.

He has had appearances in BBC radio, as you can see:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork/pathaansmusicalrickshaw/tracklisting_archive_20090809.shtml

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00nxzkq

Last but not at least, Flevans participated in at least one big music festival: The Big Chill line-up 2006 in its 12th anniversary.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/herefordandworcester/content/articles/2006/02/27/big_chill_2006_1st_lineup_feature.shtml

and also at Festinho 2010

http://www.songkick.com/festivals/21491-festinho/id/5568481-festinho-2010/performances/9994271-flevans

I have found more info about him in MTV:

http://www.mtvmusicmeter.com/artist/flevans/ARD3Q3B1187B98A1EA/

I think he deserves this article since he fits in

4 # Has received non-trivial coverage in a reliable source of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.[note 4] 5 # Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of whom are notable). 6 # Is an ensemble which contains two or more independently notable musicians, or is a musician who has been a member of two or more independently notable ensembles.

Thanks for your attention one more time Olmolp (talk) 08:42, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello again — Tru Thoughts seems to be an "important indie label", so Flevens' discography with them should be sufficient to meet the notability requirements. :) I've removed the speedy deletion tag, so you can work on the article. If you'd like to recover the material that was deleted, feel free to contact anyone in Category:Wikipedia administrators who will provide copies of deleted articles. Happy editing!
