- Ye...probably should make a separate article for best of the web awards too.Smallman12q (talk) 00:21, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
World Wide Web Hall of Fame
editHi All, one reference (CERN) mentions only five members for this World Wide Web Hall of Fame: without Tim Berners-Lee, while the other reference (Best of the Web Directory) mentions six members, including Tim Berners-Lee. Does somebody know what the background for this is? Is he added afterwards? -- SchreyP (messages) 06:32, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
First International Conference on the World-Wide Web
editThe conference was entitled the "First International Conference on the World-Wide Web", yes? —Quantling (talk | contribs) 02:01, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- I've moved the article from the previous name World Wide Web Conference 1 —Quantling (talk | contribs) 02:16, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- I support an article name change, but not this one. I will move the article back for now and start the requesting (potential controversial) move process, to allow input from a broader editor public. Thanks, SchreyP (messages) 08:59, 21 January 2012 (UTC)

Requested move

The result of the move request was: page moved to First International Conference on the World-Wide Web. Vegaswikian (talk) 23:52, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
World Wide Web Conference 1 → First International World Wide Web Conference – The article was recently moved to First International Conference on the World-Wide Web, which I didn't support. So I moved it back. But I support User:Quantling with an article name change, and in parallel make this discussion broader. My suggestion is First International World Wide Web Conference, because International World Wide Web Conference is the official name so it can be easier found in searches, and it is the first one. Thanks, SchreyP (messages) 09:02, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose: I agree that from the
secondthird conference onward the official name was the "Nth International WWW Conference" or "Nth International World Wide Web Conference". However, at the time it was advertised and held, the first conference was called the "First International Conference on the World-Wide Web". I propose "First International Conference on the World-Wide Web" for the name of the article, with a redirect from "First International World Wide Web Conference". —Quantling (talk | contribs) 19:56, 22 January 2012 (UTC)- Agree with Quantling: Hi Quantling, I did not notice this little difference. If you look at their own overview site at http://www.iw3c2.org/conferences or at http://public.web.cern.ch/public/en/About/WebStory-en.html they speak about the "The First International WWW Conference" or "First International World Wide Web conference". But the prime link http://www94.web.cern.ch/WWW94/ has indeed "First International Conference on the World-Wide Web" as title, and if you look at google hits: the last name has 537.000 hits compared with 200.000 hits for the name I proposed. So yes I support your proposal of "First International Conference on the World-Wide Web" for the name of the article, with a redirect from "First International World Wide Web Conference". Sorry for the hassle and thanks for the patience, SchreyP (messages) 22:56, 23 January 2012 (UTC)

Museum of early intruments
editHello, I'd like to change the description of the "Instutute of Physics, Naples", that is incorrect (I was the webmaster) --Guarracino (talk) 14:25, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- That's fine.Smallman12q (talk) 02:19, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
