I know this is an odd bit of information, but could anyone direct me to information on who was in King Ferdinand's court. I ask because he, is a great, great grandfather of mine and would like to edit the entry. I am particularly looking for Lady in Waiting Carmella, whom he had an illegitimate son. Thank you. "Gladstone did not visit Naples"

"Gladstone had not actually been to Southern Italy and so some of his accusations were unreliable" This is untrue. Gladstone spent some months in Naples in the winter of 1850-51, as well inspecting the jails where political prisoners were held, "making copious notes" (Anna Isba in "Gladstone and Dante") and documenting conditions. His visit is widely recorded in biographies. As to "some of his accusations were unreliable", that's an unsupported statement. At least his observations were made after seeing the conditions for himself. When I have time I will remove these words and add the information to the entry.
