File:Motamed and hamed.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

edit
An image used in this article, File:Motamed and hamed.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?

Don't panic; deletions can take a little longer at Commons than they do on Wikipedia. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion (although please review Commons guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Commons Undeletion Request

New photos added to the article (and previous photo deletion)

edit

Several new photos have been added to the article that were just uploaded on Wiki Commons, by the same editor who added them to the article claiming them as original works. Based on some searching on Google, it seems like there may be some copyright conflicts. The reason for removing the previous photos from the article (lack of hijab) doesn't really seem to fall within any WP I'm familiar with. (Perhaps another editor could point it out.) Also, there are numerous photos of the actress without hijab available on Google so I don't see what it accomplishes to remove them from the Wikipedia article. I'm thinking this article should be reverted to the old photos as I imagine the new ones are going to be delete for copyright violation. --Klaun (talk) 01:33, 3 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
