The spelling!

The correct spelling is "Elßler", and I think it should be corrected.

You're right, but English language dance and theatre history scholars uniformly write Elssler, as do the French, Italians and Swedes; Google reports twice as many Fanny Elsslers as Fanny Elßlers; I've created a redirection page from Fanny Elßler.
