Can anyone talk about why fair value accounting has been put in place again during this crunch? Dr. Platen has reviewed this Wikipedia page, and provided us with the following comments to improve its quality:

The article reflects well the current understanding on fair valuation. It still does not cover questions that have been under discussion in insurance. These have to mature before they could be properly mentioned in such article.

We hope Wikipedians on this talk page can take advantage of these comments and improve the quality of the article accordingly.
