Close paraphrasing

edit

Hi, Christina Dailey

Much of the content from this site seems to be a very close paraphrase, which is a copyright violation. This source is used in the education and prose of the exhibitions sections.

One example is:

Article: "Partum studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz from 1963 to 1965. She earned her diploma through her work in poetry as art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1965 to 1970."
Source: "...studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz from 1963 to 1965, then from 1965-70 in the Department of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she won a diploma for her work on poetry as art."

Sometimes it's tricky to reword sentences that contain a few specific facts, but there are still some opportunities. For example, perhaps the sentence could be reworded to:

Beginning in 1963, Partum studied at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Lodz. She then went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1965. She studied in the Department of Painting, where Partum was particularly interested in poetry as art, and she received her diploma in 1970."

See close paraphrasing for information about rewording content from sources to avoid copyright violation issues.--CaroleHenson (talk) 19:03, 15 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I fixed this examples and the commented out the remaining close paraphrasing / copy vio content, per discussion at User:CaroleHenson#reply--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:56, 19 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is a nice article, so I added wikilinks and quotations around the titles of pieces of art. Sarahmey (talk) 00:44, 26 November 2014 (UTC)Reply
