Revamp the page
editThis page could be useful if it gave a table of all French possessions ever that can be grouped by region and has the dates control was established and when control was lost by France. If no one has any objections I can do this in the near future. Stidmatt (talk) 05:03, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
I have started to reformat to make it similar to the article territorial evolution of the British Empire Freedom1968 (talk) 08:13, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
Rename title to History of...

links are wrong
editlink the countries in Africa to the actual french states, not the modern incantation, but the ones that existed at the time to which we are referring. Jaygo113 (talk) 22:26, 27 August 2022 (UTC)
