Frederik vs. Frederick edit
I created the article by following a redlink, which spelled the name without the c. But I wondered about the inconsistency as the article on Frederick V contains a c. I figured the spelling issue could be sorted out later. --Rosiestep (talk) 02:50, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- What I had in mind when I suggested moving the article to Frederick V on Horseback was the possibility that, once it is featured on the main page, the article will be moved by a reader who will not understand the inconsistency (frankly, I do not understand it either). Such a move would make it harder for you to count all the hits the article got wile on the main page. Surtsicna (talk) 17:15, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Wording edit
As a person who writes about fine arts all the time, I haven't the faintest clue what this means:
- "Characterized as a tranquil depiction of Frederik V,[5]........"
There is a reference cited. What precisely does the reference say? You can quote an excerpt from the reference directly if you acknowledge the writer who made the statement.

We have the following sentence now: "Frederik V on Horseback is a sculpture in Amalienborg Square"
But look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equestrian_statue_of_Frederick_VII "The equestrian statue of Frederick VII in front of Christiansborg on Slotsholmen"
And here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equestrian_statue_of_Absalon "The equestrian statue of Absalon on Højbro Plads"

You have a point, however both are valid grammatical forms (and Slotsholmen is an island). I prefer the "Frederik V on Horseback is a sculpture in Amalienborg Square" since "Frederik V on Horseback is a sculpture on Amalienborg Square" seems clunky due to the repetition of "on". That being said "Frederik V on Horseback is a sculpture located in the center of Amalienborg Square" is better than either, as it includes more information.
