First browser from india

Is it fair to say that this is the first browser from india? Although it is marketed as such, other major tech companies have zounds of programmers in India...so it could be that another browser was written largely in India first.Smallman12q (talk) 16:56, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

"Based on Mozilla" negates most of the "first browser" part, since it becomes just another customization rather than new implementation. Tedickey (talk) 11:35, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

The [CIOL] link is a press release - no attempt made there to be a neutral source. The [PC World] link is redundant (since it, like the others, simply quotes from the vendor's website without providing any insight). What about articles in The Hindu - (Epic: first web browser for India launched) & The Times of India - (Meet India's first web browser, Epic)? The Times of India has the largest circulation among all English-language newspapers in the world, across all formats (broadsheet, tabloid, compact, Berliner and online) and The Hindu is the second-largest circulated daily English newspaper in India. If it's only repeating the press release, it's apparent that no useful contribution was made by the newspaper. Do try to find something where the text is appreciably more than cut/paste/reword Tedickey (talk) 20:26, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
