Weight Gauge edit

Don't aircraft have load gauges in the landing gear so that the pilots can ensure that the 'craft is not overweight (and is balanced correctly)?
A quick websearch shows several patents on idea. CS Miller (talk) 21:24, 10 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

The A/C was not overweight. The applied t/o-thrust was based on a wrong value for the A/C-weight which was entered into the computer.89.0.52.137 (talk) 13:13, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pilots and ATC edit

Interesting new details in The Australian (1 & 2) about the thoughts of the pilots (they thought they were going to die), and comments from Melbourne air traffic control, about noticing the slow speed, sparks, and losing the aircraft from radar.--Lester 04:03, 12 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
