Painting made after the abbey was already demolished edit

How come a painting was made of the abbey in 1638? The abbey was demolished in 1573. This is either wrong or deserves some explanation. Andries (talk) 19:24, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Don't know, but I daresay the imitial demolition wasn't total, and/or there were images from before that. Johnbod (talk) 18:22, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
I suggest a warning that the painting may not be accurate. Andries (talk) 10:50, 9 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
He copied from his cousin Claes Jacobsz van der Heck, who in turn likely copied from Gilles de Saens, whose painting hung in the Zottegem Town Hall.[1] Manannan67 (talk) 22:42, 3 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
