Confusing sentence

I'm confused by this sentence: "This chronological order is interrupted only after the first chapter when the text reveals an important memory to the reader, usually triggered by something in the character's present environment." Since the movie version is based on this novel, and since this article is more developed than the movie article, I suggest we make this article the main Eat a Bowl of Tea page and rename the other article Eat a Bowl of Tea (film). Aristophanes68 (talk) 07:33, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Merge & Redirect - Perhaps the film article should be merged into this article and the name by changed as requested. If the film is directly related to this article, and it is stub or start quality; as with other media, perhaps its content can be placed here in a new section and separated if its gets to large. --RightCowLeftCoast (talk) 22:54, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Comment: The film article is listed on the Director's template, so it wouldn't make sense to merge it here; it's also been saved from deletion before, so again, we should keep it a separate article. I went ahead and renamed the film article (2 weeks of discussion brought no opposition), but I am unable to move this page over to that one without admin assistance. I could either create a DAB page at Eat a Bowl of Tea or create a redirect to the novel page. What seems best? Aristophanes68 (talk) 18:52, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

Dubious

This is the spot for discussion about whether this was the first Chinese-American Novel. Another editor added the tag to the article, but there is no discussion about this. Newystats (talk) 05:27, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
