According to the Tramways Act (1860), gauge specified as 5ft 3inch, not 5ft 2-3/16 quoted in main article:

24. Every tramway made under this Act shall be worked by animal power only, and shall (unless in any case the Order in Council otherwise provides) be constructed with iron rails or trams, and on the gauge of five feet three inches..Suckindiesel (talk) 16:46, 30 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. The standard Irish broad gauge is 1600mm, which has been used by railways (and the Howth Tram) forever. I think this item in the article is in error, and I'll tag it appropriately. jxm (talk) 05:16, 2 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
