Anna's Peer Review edit

I like the article very much and how you have covered several aspects of his life. I don't have many feedback, but I would like to share some of my thoughts:

- I am thinking if you could include some more of his accomplishments (what he is known for) in the introduction? (e.g.: adding CEO of DeafVision and founder of DQRC). Since the introduction is basically the first thing readers would read, so I think it would be excellent to include most important things you want the readers to know about him. From my understanding, his accomplishments with DeafVision and DQRC are quite extraordinary.

- What about adding a little more about his work with with the Deaf Queer Resource Center and what inspired him?

- From what I remember, you collected the information by interviewing him, right? Probably should take a look at how to include that in the citation?

That's all for now!

I would consider expanding on the fact that Renteria is second generation. I'm not sure what you mean by this and I'm not sure other readers would know either.

I'd remove "and perhaps the first Deaf Person of Color, to have done so" because you don't know that for sure and it feels a bit too informal for the article. Maybe something more like "one of the first Deaf Persons of Color"

Maybe put activism as a separate section outside of career all together because it seems to be an important part of Renteria's work that could be heavily expanded upon. It would also be really cool if you could link to some of the website he has established for different members of the Deaf community.

Overall a really great start to what I think will be a fascinating article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yflores3 (talkcontribs) 21:48, 24 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Betsy's Peer Review edit

Anna- this will be a great resource, especially for TOD who often struggle to find information regarding Deaf role models who share many of the intersectional identities that students have.

A few notes:

-I like the intro paragraph. Short and to the point. However, I’m not sure that all readers will be familiar with the terms, “transman” and "denizen." For the former, I'm struggling with where to tow the line between what is universally understood (transgender man/ female-to-male transgender) vs. respecting what I am guessing is a choice he has made.

-You have a lot of great info but it's not clear where it comes from. Sources would be great. I see you've linked a few of the organizations mentioned to their own Wiki pages. I would definitely suggest doing more of that to the extent possible since so many of these orgs are not universally known.

-I would love to see a little more info in the LGBTQ Activism/Community Service section. How has he expressed his passion for these causes? Also, it might be worth elaborating a bit more on what he's advocating for in terms of anti-gentrification and housing rights. It's not clear here whether this effort is specific to LGBTQ populations or to other minority groups.

-The 2nd paragraph of the Early Life and Ed section is kind of clumsy (good info but not a parallel grammatical structure).

-You mention he is a photojournalist in the Photography section. Is his work here a form of LGBTQ activism?

-You mention in the intro that Drago is also an educator and historian, but I don't believe I see that reflected in the body. Maybe an area to expand on.

Nice work overall! I enjoyed learning about Drago! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bbeck3 (talkcontribs) 18:17, 25 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is a really great start! The only suggestions I have are minor.

positing -> positioning

perhaps select a different word than "stricken" and "genius" which seem biased.
