Split

All of the projects in Gando, Burkina Faso should have the majority of the content listed there, and not this article. This is an article about Kéré, and therefore doesn't need a detailed history of every building in Gando (even if he did help build them, something which is barely mentioned explictly in any of those paragraphs). Much of the content appears to be written in the manner of an architectural proposal explaining a design or a progress report on a project underway. By and large, the text frames the specific conditions and variables of each site and how the built environment responds to and engages with the site and the needs of its inhabitants. In its current condition, it’s not great to have in a biography that barely mentions the last name of the architect . . . but it’s also not suitable to describe the town from a neutral POV either. Looks like much of the extensive text come from here [1] It's certainly about Kéré . . . but article really needs clean up. Perhaps some other editors can step in to help diversify sources and trim this content? Cedar777 (talk) 22:46, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Are we sure that source didn't copy us? That source has the numbers like [7] in their article, which seems like they've just been copying the references from us (but not populating their bibliography the same). Joseph2302 (talk) 00:10, 23 March 2022 (UTC)

Mmmmmm. You know, Joseph2302, I think you might be right about that. It looks like a Turkish architect has gathered a whole slew of architect’s bios together on his website that all came from Wikipedia. (!) I was trying to cut down the word count. . . hope it can still be refined and/or made more accurate with references. Cedar777 (talk) 01:00, 23 March 2022 (UTC)
