Fair use rationale for Image:DastanGoleBehesht.jpg

edit

Image:DastanGoleBehesht.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Dastan Ensemble. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. I understand the reversion because the citations that were asked for are indeed still missing, but I think that we can come up with better solutions than just reverting it. The content added by Fatemeh Naghshvarian was a valuable contribution, and was translated from Persian Wikipedia. This was correctly mentioned at the end of the article. I suggest to rephrase the translated sentences to have a more NPOV. Another improvement could be to add the specific references mentioned in the Persian version when they were used for the translated content. What do you think @DMacks:@Fatemeh Naghshvarian:? Wikipedia is never allowed as a source (WP:RS standard). The only sources I see cited on fa:دستان_(گروه_موسیقی) are the group's own website, which is not a suitable source for anything except facts of group membership. According to enwiki RS standard, regardless of what fawiki accepts, we would need independent WP:SECONDARY sources to discuss successfulness, importance, musicality, etc--that's the basis of my "this content is not really NPOV anyway?" comment. DMacks (talk) 14:05, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
I understand. I hadn't looked that deeply into the references on fawiki. I agree that in this case the fawiki article is too poorly referenced with external sources to be translated into enwiki. Beireke1 (talk) 14:26, 17 January 2020 (UTC)Reply
