Here's and interesting article about Dan Goldin's near-appointment as president of Boston University, dropped at the last minute due to the realization of certain "character flaws." I'm not sure if it's appropriate content to add to the wikipedia article, though. --NeuronExMachina 20:02, 2 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Someone put in criticism of Golden for selling rocket tech to China. There was no source and it came across as an angry judgment. I deleted it, but it could be put in a 'criticism' section if appropriately sourced and presented in a neutral fashion. 69.177.232.30 (talk) 21:35, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Interview with Sheena McDonald edit

[1][2]

Sure. That's why, in 1994, NASA chief Dan Goldin said (to journalist Sheena McDonald)..

"Mankind cannot venture beyond Earth orbit until we find a way to overcome deadly space radiation."

(can't find link to video)

And...

The radiation belts surrounding Earth can become extremely powerful in a matter of seconds, posing far greater risks to spacewalking astronauts and communication satellites than previously believed, scientists said Monday.

"We had thought the radiation belts were a slow, lumbering feature of Earth, but in fact they can change on a knife's edge,'' said space physicist Daniel Baker of the University of Colorado.

Is real this information? Terraflorin (talk) 14:08, 30 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Nope. SeeMoon landing conspiracy theories#Environment. Also, humorously enough, there are notes on that forum that the interview you're quoting is oddly enough only found on CT sites. Hmm, conspiracists making up sources? Say it ain't so! Ravensfire (talk) 18:59, 12 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Where to document "faster, better, cheaper" edit

"faster, better, cheaper": Is it, or should it be, covered elsewhere in wikipedia, or expanded on here ? - Rod57 (talk) 12:39, 12 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

It must have been mentioned on this page in 2004 - since it was featured on the mainpage then (see talk header above). - Rod57 (talk) 19:48, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Unjustified gutting of article on 6 September 2021 edit

There was a poorly justified gutting (16kb) of this article on 6 September 2021 by an IP address. The majority of what was removed looks encyclopedic (not "fluff") and justified, and I propose we restore it. - Rod57 (talk) 18:56, 30 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
