Language ability edit

He speaks fine, fluent Korean, but listening to him in Lost, I can hear an accent. My wife, who actually is Korean, notices it even more than I do. But an A- for effort; trust me, Korean's a very tough language. --Dan 16:54, 6 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Bryn Mawr edit

Is an all girls school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.89.143 (talk) 02:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, Bryn Mawr is an all-girl university. The theatre department partners with neighboring colleges and universities to send some of their theatre majors. It is quite difficult to stage productions with an all-female cast year after year. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kaneshirojj (talkcontribs) 02:03, 5 December 2008 (UTC) Template:UnsignedIP -->Reply

Crusade edit

I don't know where to begin myself, but I think Crusade deserves a much bigger mention here. He was one of the key, central characters in the series, and he was known for that role before Lost. He appeared in almost every episode. Tom walker (talk) 19:45, 15 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Problem edit

What is Daniel Dae Kim's problem? Don't even act like you don't know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.204.240.129 (talk) 01:23, 14 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation edit

Is the 'Daniel Dae' in his name pronounced the same as 'Daniel Day' i.e. Daniel Day Lewis? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.188.128.139 (talk) 13:45, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Apache overdose gangstar edit

I can't seem to find anything about this game. Is this definitely real, and if so, are we sure that he appears in it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.149.163.127 (talk) 17:15, 6 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Nationality edit

According to Hawaii's election guide and photographic proof of Kim voting, Kim is a US citizen as he was registered to vote in Hawaii. Per the library of Congress, it is impossible for somebody to hold dual South Korean citizenship prior to 2011, therefore Kim is only American. - BriefEdits (talk) 21:57, 25 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I just answered you here in my editing summary 1, remember that it is not allowed to have a double term actor and voice actor in the initial parts of an article and also to leave the actor's dual nationality as it was, you already showed me news references about nationality of this mentioned actor. 148.101.34.28 (talk) 23:51, 25 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • 148.101.34.28, I do not understand why you are assuming that Kim is a dual citizen. I've linked a source in my previous comment indicating that it is basically impossible for somebody to hold both South Korean and American citizenships prior to 2011. Unless you have a better source indicating otherwise, we'll just leave it at American per WP:ETHNICITY. I also don't have any problems with you removing voice actor from the lead. -- BriefEdits (talk) 01:00, 26 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hello again, here is a news source here: https://www.empireonline.com/people/daniel-dae-kim/ but as I told you before, the term actor and voice actor does not go in initial parts and well, you would rather restore the same stable version as in the previous one. 148.101.34.28 (talk) 02:12, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Empire quotes Wikipedia as a source therefore making it WP:CIRCULAR. I'm assuming you're using it as a source in regards to his nationality? — BriefEdits (talk) 04:21, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I was wrong to pass you the link that was not, is this: https://www.scmp.com/magazines/post-magazine/arts-music/article/3119605/korean-american-actor-daniel-dae-kim-covid-19 the truth is that there are no more news sources about this actor's dual nationality, I couldn't find this on Google either to try to link him to his Wikipedia page, sometimes it is confusing. 148.0.119.101 (talk) 00:10, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

According to article contents, Kim left South Korea at age 1 and was raised and has spend the rest of his life in the US. It is also stated that he is an American citizen. All of his notable activities are in the US, he has, obviously, done nothing notable in South Korea in the one year he lived there. According to the manual of style guidance at MOS:CONTEXTBIO he is to be described solely as an American actor, his birth in South Korea has nothing to do with his notability so birth location doesn't belong in the intro sentence or lead. His past is covered sufficiently in the early life section of the article. Also ethnicity does not belong in the lead unless relevant to notability, which it isn't in this case. Earthshot Prize edit

He was co-host of the 2022 Earthshot Prize if someone wants to add that to his TV work, with properly sourced reference. My only source is seeing this on TV and confirmation from the Earthshot Prize wiki article. 2.29.83.39 (talk) 10:08, 5 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
