The result of the move request was: No consensus. Regarding notability, he has taken the field in a fully professional league, which satisfies WP:Notability (sports). EdJohnston (talk) 02:15, 28 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Dani NdiDani N'Di – Should the name be written with the apostrophe like other African names (e.g., Thomas N'Kono, N'Diaye or Boniface N'Dong)? There are few sources in English as he is a very young player, but I would like to know your opinion. --Relisted. Please add sources to his name. Marca and Sporting's official web use Ndi, while Soccerway uses N'Di. Some newspapers also use the "'", so there's no consensus over it.

Maybe a redirect will do the trick for now. MYS77 16:53, 12 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Notability

edit

In the RM above it's been questioned [2] whether this article should even exist. First stop in asking this is WP:GNG for general guidelines, and this links to WP:NSOCCER which should also be consulted as the topic-specific guideine, and possibly also Wikipedia:Notability (people) for general guidelines on people and this also links to Wikipedia:Notability (sports) which has more specific guidelines covering all sportspeople and of which WP:NSOCCER is a section, so we get to the most specific guideline along two different routes.

The topic only needs to pass any one of these levels to be accepted as suitable for an article. As the linking pattern suggests, normally we start at GNG and work down until we find a test it passes, or if it doesn't meet any of the criteria, then nominate the article for deletion.

Any comments on how those guidelines apply to this article? Or are there other relevant guidelines I've missed? Andrewa (talk) 10:08, 22 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
