Death count edit

I fixed the "death count" of the Basestars in Exodus. If you look at the DRADIS screen after the Pegasus enters the battle, you'll see that first targetted basestar was damaged, not destroyed. 142.151.180.150

Confusing? edit

Is it just me or is the passage, "the Hybrids do not perceive their existence in the same way as normal beings. They possess an expanded awareness of being one entity existing in space (as we perceive ourselves as one being perceiving our surroundings) as well as perceiving all activity in their interior", confusing? I've changed "their interior" to "their basestar's interior". -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 07:47, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Razor edit

This article needs to be updated to account for Razor, the prototype Hybrid, the old-style Basestar. 70.55.85.95 (talk) 04:08, 26 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Battlestar Galactica 2003 - Basestar.jpg edit

Image:Battlestar Galactica 2003 - Basestar.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Old-style Basestar edit

The Razor old-style basestar should have a section 70.51.9.170 (talk) 09:11, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

The Old-Hybrid Basestar should also have a section. 76.66.196.229 (talk) 21:40, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

ReqImg edit

A vidcap of the old-style and new basestars would be nice. 70.51.9.170 (talk) 09:11, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:BattlestarGalactica -- 3x06 - Torn.jpg edit

The image Image:BattlestarGalactica -- 3x06 - Torn.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Basestar??? edit

How often in the show are these called basestars? I have NEVER heard it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.112.10.248 (talk) 22:57, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

This person is right. I've never heard it called basestar. Someone should rename the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thespyofcharles (talkcontribs) 21:57, 14 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • They are called basestars several times. Basestar is used in 33, Kobol's Last Gleaming part 2, Scattered, and Resurrection Ship part 1. and I think it was used in a few other episodes as well. 96.233.188.177 (talk) 02:28, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

i heard it on resurrection ship, but compared to the # of times they are called "base ships" this is miniscule. who came up with this lousy name? 71.112.10.248 (talk) 03:15, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Basestar is was what they called them in the first and second seasons, so it's a perfectly valid name. I don't know why they started calling them baseships, but basestar is still valid, as it was the original term used in the first 2 seasons. according to the battlestar wiki, (which calls them basestars), Basestar and Baseship are interchangible terms. 96.233.182.239 (talk) 04:45, 23 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
