Curve and Garbage

I've heard through various discussion boards accusations from critics about the band Garbage largely copying from Curve's music style. I don't know if this should be included in the article.

I think the article puts it excellently. Garbage were never, ever as dark as Curve. There's an almost industrial edge to some of Curve's best music, where Garbage are more of a rock band. Butch Vig may well have nicked some ideas (or been influenced by) Curve, but Garbage were always aimed much more at the pop mainstream than Curve ever were.

Personally I think Garbage are a pale imitation of Curve, sanitised for the masses, and Curve never got the recognition that they should have had. I suspect that's not a Neutral Point of View though. :) Depeche Mode proved that a dark, electronic sound can sell records, but for whatever reason, Curve never reached that level of success.

Songs on Adventures that have no guitar

In the article is says that on The New Adventures Of there are songs without guitar. I keep listening to it and can't figure which songs don't have guitar. Do they mean "Answers", because that has guitar on it. Maybe this should be changed?

Neutrality

This is to note that the band names include the word "The" as part of their official names and therefore the word should remain capitalized.

Curve discography

During the last days, I improved a lot the Curve's Wikipedia page (it looked like that before my edits). I added also a lot of info on the discography section. If you judge everything mechanically, you will not go anywhere. The source is reliable. Plus it's already on the internet for over 10 years and it's endorsed by the band. If it's a fan site, what's the problem? The one who edited the site had all interest to keep everything correct (because he's a fan and he's dedicated), compared to usual sites that don't care about the band in special (and I've seen a lot of errors on so-called serious sites). Plus being a fan, he gathered all info he needed about the band during the years. I'd rather trust a fan that wrote almost all that info BEFORE Wikipedia even existed, rather than a journalist that probably copied everything from Wikipedia...

Also from here: "Fan sites are generally not considered reliable. 'However, exceptions can apply' - some fan sites contain scans of small extracts of old newspaper and magazine articles, and these may be the most convenient way to cite facts based off the original published content. I didn't reference the opinion(s) of the site's owner, but exact info (like discography). If you're really so worried about this fan site, check the Discogs page instead. At Sites, you'll see this fan site listed. That proves its relevance. Deepblue1 (talk) 11:05, 28 December 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not here to provide a link farm. There is no need for a link wall to all the the bands social media sites as they do not meet the criteria for external links "it is not Wikipedia's purpose to include a lengthy or comprehensive list of external links related to each topic.
