Neutrality edit

I placed the POV tag when creating the article because it is pasted from a US government website. Because this comes from a US govt source it may not be neutral, but I don't have the expertise to judge. (Hopefully others that know more will simply remove the tag if they think the article looks okay.) Mangostar (talk) 00:18, 28 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Neutrality no. 2 edit

Second the above - POV re-added. The neutrality of the article definitely needs to be assessed. While it's reasonable to assume this subject matter might have an increased focus on a U.S. perspective, the article repeatedly cites the U.S. as being one of the most important partners to Croatia across military and economic relations. This precludes the importance of a much more dynamic economic and political landscape in the context of greater Europe and Croatia's place as a relatively new member state to the European Union. Consequently, a first-time reader may get a disproportionate representation of the nature of Croatia's relations with the U.S. Discuss? Mz. 110.20.97.221 (talk)
Hy, can you please eleborate why do you belive that this article represents POV? Mangostar put POV tage 8 years ago because he literally copy and pasted text from US Governemnt web pages which was removed and rewritten later, all except this sentence in intro: "American engagement in Croatia is aimed at fostering a democratic, secure, and market-oriented society that will be a strong US partner in Euro-Atlantic institutions. Bilateral relations between the two countries are described as very strong.". You say: "the article repeatedly cites the U.S. as being one of the most important partners to Croatia across military and economic relations.". "Repeatedly", however there are two sentances that say this: 1. US is the most important Croatian military partner., which is corret since it has been said by Chief of General Staff of the Croatian Armed Forces Drago Lovrić; 2. Economic relations between Croatia and US are very good., and this is true, because US is the 1st most important Croatian trade partner in North America, and 8th in the world, so relations are not great, but "good", as stated in source. Everything else mentioned are basiclly facts that are supported with appropriate citations. In addition, it is well known that US and EU are indeed Croatia's most important partners. I look forward to your response, greetings United Union (talk) 10:45, 25 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
POV template removed since it has been more then a week, and it is still not clear what the neutrality issue is, no satisfactory explanation has been given, and also because there is the absence of any discussion about the (alleged) issue. United Union (talk) 18:03, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
