This was a famous case in Guatemala City. It was all over the news and still it is. Because it didn't happen in the USA doesn't mean is not important.

You have yet to show that it's important in any real way. As it stands now, it looks like just another missing person/possible murder investigation. Same goes for the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Caylee_Anthony case.
