Doing a peer review for class. Don't really see any changes. Maybe their work is still in the sandbox.  :) Pegrowe62 (talk) 03:06, 2 March 2020 (UTC)pegrowe62Reply

Major changers to page edit

I finally put together the page that our WR303 group has been working on. Original text from the article was integrated into the new article.

There was a bit too much information in the "Paul Knauls" section of the article that our group put together, so I also created a separate page for him and thinned out some of the background info about Paul. The Cotton Club seems to be largely a story of Paul Knauls, so it seemed necessary. He also seems to be a huge part of black culture in Northeast Portland, and I spent more time than I should have reading about his life story and recent accomplishments when I should have been grinding out the Cotton Club page. After getting some sleep I plan on adding to the Paul Knauls page and may add to the Cotton Club page a bit if more relevant information emerges.

One area that could be improved on in this article is the relevance of the Cotton Club to the African American culture in the neighborhood the club was located in. There seems to be a lot of history there, but it may be better to start compiling sources for new articles that can be linked to from the Cotton Club page.

Thank you for reading fellow Wikipedians!

Hey pegrowe62, sorry to leave you hanging. I dragged my feet on getting this page updated. My one group member that was punctual and compiled the resources rightfully let me do the heavy lifting when it came to updating the page, as we agreed that would be on me earlier in the term. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gordonde (talkcontribs) 07:17, 3 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
