Marching Band edit

John from Idegon and I have been going back and forth a bit on whether the marching band making it into the top ten at the State level is worth including in this article. I have been unable to find any guidelines for dealing with this specific issue, and several Good Articles about other high schools include similar information (see, e.g., here). Since, to my mind, this information seems sufficiently notable to be worth including, and since similar information is included in other articles (including those that have been recognized for their quality), I would like to add this information back into the article. The relevant text can be found here. Bnng (talk) 01:27, 14 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Bnng: I’ve added the {{third party inline}} the sentence about the marching band. Can you provide a citation that is independent of the school? Billhpike (talk) 02:45, 14 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Billhpike: Sorry, I accidentally submitted an edit to this page instead of the article, which I was working on in a separate tab in my browser. I have replaced the source. While you're here, would you happen to have any thoughts on whether the following is appropriate to be included in the article? "The Concordia Lutheran High School Marching Cadets have been at the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Class C State Finals in 2001, 2003, 2004, and each year since 2007." (This means that they placed top ten in the state for their size of school each of those years.) Bnng (talk) 02:54, 14 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Bnng: We generally only include the highest level of achievement for the school in a particular activity, so I would not support adding a list of years where the marching band has participated in, but not won, the state championships. Billhpike (talk) 03:31, 14 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
