Merging this with Silver Bullet Comic Books edit

Clowns edit

In order to preserve the history of SBC, I'd like to see on this entry the pictures of clowns that SBC used to be so closely associated with Vegetationlife (talk) 19:38, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

COI edit

Can I just state, clearly and for the record, I do not have a close business or personal interest in the topic of this article (Comics Bulletin) or its founding member Jason Brice (although I'd consider going to the pub with him if he happened to live on the same side of the world) and therefore regard myself as an editor with no vested interest. Thanks. Shame about the clowns. Vegetationlife (talk) 17:57, 26 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removing COI banner edit

Thanks for starting this entry - I always had it on my backburner but the whole SBC/SBCB business made things messy (especially as a SBC, the shop, entry had previously been deleted) and was waiting for the name change.

My main question is what do we need to do to remove the COI banner? I've always struggled with that specific one as it doesn't flag the need for any work to be done, it merely says that at some point someone connected edited the page.

I have done a quick run through and the history section seems to be the one with troublesome parts. So I have removed some [1] and will look at the rest harder - blog related controversies are going to be difficult to reference (unless they blow up somehow and make the media) and the same with fan grumblings.

I'll keep at it but if there is anything causing anyone else concern then say so and we can address it - I'd rather avoid stripping things back to bare bones and building it again but it is an ultimate option. (Emperor (talk) 16:52, 25 February 2008 (UTC))Reply

OK all sorted - thanks to those that have rewritten the article. (Emperor (talk) 03:46, 24 September 2008 (UTC))Reply

Requested move edit

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: nomination withdrawn. Further discussion may be required at Talk:Salon.com and/or Talk:TMZ.com, but it's clear there is no consensus to move this article. (non-admin closure) Jenks24 (talk) 20:56, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Comics BulletinComicsBulletin.com – I can certainly see the point in not having .com when there's a print analog to a website. In this case, I believe titling this article "Comics Bulletin" gives a misimpression that it exists as a print publication and not solely as a website. I'd use the longstanding Salon.com or TMZ.com as example, since they could have been disambiguated as "Salon (website)" or "TMZ (website)" or similar. Not using ".com" in the title as an indicator seems unintentionally misleading. Removing the .com also seems to suggest there is something wrong or inferior about being a web-only publication, when this is simply factual and neutral. Support based on Tenebrae's argument, the owning company might Comics Bulletin but the object is Comicsbulletin.com Darkwarriorblake (talk) 16:28, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
Withdrawing proposal From the discussion here and at Talk:Comic Book Resources, it seems WP:SNOWBALL at this point, so while protocol is to wait seven days, I'm happy to withdraw my proposal, provided we have some consistency. If the name is Comics Bulletin and not ComicsBulletin.com, then the names are Salon and TMZ. We don't need ".com" to disambiguate; Salon (website) and TMZ (website) disambiguate without changing the names. --Tenebrae (talk) 23:37, 10 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
