Wikipedia style usually does not include a title as part of the article title. Charles Pinckney was distinguished from later descendants by his title as a militia colonel (just as his son is given the dab qualifier "governor"), but "Colonel" was not his proper name. To be consistent with other articles, I propose that this article be moved to the following title: "Charles Pinckney (colonel)".Parkwells (talk) 18:20, 4 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Came up with another solution, that is consistent with practice of not using titles, but accepts practice and shows "Colonel" is not part of his given name.Parkwells (talk) 14:01, 5 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
