3. Is there evidence of your personal responsibility for the Calgary proposals?

Phase 1 – My early experience related to the commercialization of the Alberta Oil Sands was as the first Research Manager of Syncrude Canada Limited, currently the largest producer of oil from the oil sands. The work was highly proprietary at the time and the only information released was at the World Petroleum Conference in Mexico City in 1967 – ‘Molecular and Interfacial Properties of Athabasca Tar Sands C. W. Bowman Proceedings of the Seventh World Petroleum Congress, Mexico City, 1967, Volume 3, 583-604

Phase 2 – My work as Founding Chairman of the Alberta Oil Sands Technology and Research Authority related to the deeply buried oil sand deposits (representing about 90 % of the total resources) was written up in the following independent analysis:
