Jumps that bar up ??? edit

Who ever wrote that clean phase has no clue how explain what they are explaining . Very VERY unclear what they are describing . Like all the readers are supposed to know exactly what they mean by their terms . Lol . Well we DON'T . Are the picking the bar up from the ground , from some kind of rack , from the bench ? How the hell is the reader supposed to know what is meant by " jumping the bar " ? Was all of the " clean phase " part simply describing a front squat ? If so the writer really needs to learn English and to understand the readers are most likely not weightlifters and are starting from scratch with what is being described .It's written like the guy telling us this information is visually showing what he means while explaining , so need to go in to detail to describe it .

Inconsistent description edit

The article states that at the end of the clean phase, the weightlifter is in a deep squat. This is consistent with the following description and picture. The description of the next phase mentions only the press movement, implying that the lift is complete once the press is done. But the picture shows the lifter with (almost) straight legs, so the press phase must also include straightening of the legs.

But also, none of the clean+press videos that I have just looked at show the lifter going into a deep squat.

I know next to nothing about weightlifting. Please could someone who does revise the article? Macboff (talk) 08:35, 9 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
