This article was replaced with text about a completely different deity than the one implied in the article. I have reposted that text here.
Chin A goddess of the moon in the mythology of the Muysca Indians of Bogota. She is associated with water and is said to have flooded the earth [1]

- Thanks. I would presume that that alteration was innocently made, it seems like someone in good faith searching Googlebooks for a reference to this deity, and mistakenly pulling up a source that discussed an entirely different entity from a different culture altogether.
- Just to add, I wonder really whether there is sufficient extant documentation of this purported Maya character to justify an article; a momentary passing reference in Breve historia (which I haven't yet been able to find) would seem to be the full extent of it, as far as primary/secondary sources go. --cjllw ʘ TALK 06:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Nominate for deletion? edit
I've searched some sources and I can't find any reference to a Mayan god that matches this article's description. Does anyone know of any references to Chin in reliable sources? It seems like this deity may be unverifiable, and/or so obscure that it doesn't meet Wikipedia's threshold of notablity. --Muchness (talk) 18:00, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
