Unsourced material edit

The following is unsourced information:

  • A prologue to the film was initially written featuring a pair of siblings, Joey and Pam, who break into the abandoned Good Guy Factory. In the script Pam finds Chucky's remains and part of his head "snaps viperously at her fingertips". She falls backwards onto a lever, activating the machine. The two children scamper off. Jason Ritter (son of actor John Ritter, who would later appear in Bride of Chucky) was initially cast to play the character of Joey. At the last minute Universal opted not to film the prologue.
  • The movie was filmed at the historic Kemper Military School (now closed). Students and instructors of which were seen as extras in the film and also served as advisers.
  • Sullivan's death would later be referenced in the comics.

While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. Also, none of this is really trivia, as trivia by its definition is "unimportant information" - it therefore shouldn't be in a trivia section but instead the information should be incorporated into the main article. - Tbsdy lives (talk) 05:34, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Controversy edit

The link to The Times article is no longer accessible without a subscription to The Times online.

Is there any source that states that Child's Play 3 in some way inspired the Bulger killers? All I read in these sources is a antithesis, but not the thesis. Is the controversy:

1. the film inspired the killers 2. people asserted that the film inspired the killers 3. people denied that the film inspired the killers (when nobody asserted this)

Please clarify this, so it is clear whether there was any controversy, or just hype. - MishMich - Talk - 20:33, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

What do you mean by controversy or just hype. As I recall it stems from stupid stories in tabloids like The Sun and led to the video being withdrawn from some stores like Woolworths for a while. Pleasetry (talk) 00:44, 12 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Needless Plot Additions with Confusing, Excessive Detail edit

There was been a bit of an edit war going on over the plot summary. Per Wiki guidelines, plot synopsis should be short, concise and not contain excessive or needless details. Please stop constantly rewriting the final paragraph to add in unnecessary details. Thank you. MaximumMadness2 (talk) 14:55, 13 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
