geology -- glacial lake remnant? edit

Looking at google maps satelite views, it seems there is a broad drainage from the cheyanne bottoms area to the southeast. Perhaps the north fork of the canadian river -- that flows through oklahoma city -- was the repeated drain from glacial meltwater, during a period when glaciations reached that far south. The way Lake Manitoba / Minnesota river is now, but several cycles ago. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.70.67.226 (talk) 18:37, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Drought edit

It might be worthy to add that the bottoms are going dry in the face of the drought that has hit central Kansas over the last few years. 173.166.109.49 (talk) 13:38, 15 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
