Hoig edit
In the text there is a reference to a book by one "Hoig", but there is no full description of this book. Could it by any chance be Hoig, Stan (1999) "The Cherokees and Their Chiefs: In the Wake of Empire"?

Cherokee censuses and land area edit
The US attempted to count the Cherokee in a census by Indian agent Meigs in 1809, and a census in 1835 prior to Removal.<https://www.cherokeephoenix.org/Article/index/10143 "EBCI ancestors remained east for various reasons"> It would be useful to add these numbers to this and the main Cherokee history article to give an idea of the scale of the people. Also, there have been estimates as to their population and territorial area at the beginning of the colonial era, which should also be added with sources.Parkwells (talk) 17:35, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
Cherokee relocation edit
Remove the words "relocated voluntarily". The Cherokee were forced west along with other members of what were know as the "Five Civilized Tribes" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trail_of_Tears). 66.60.170.178 (talk) 21:08, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

Undid revision 1174353433 by TulsaPoliticsFan (talk) Notability here is the same as any other location unit that has a notable citizens section, generally, if the person has a Wikipedia article it passes GNG; if not, a source works also until the bio article gets written. - @GenQuest, There are 85 people in the Category:Cherokee Nation people (1794–1907). Is the proposal to list all 85 individuals here? And if so why? what do they have to do with this article other than being citizens? TulsaPoliticsFan (talk) 21:23, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
