Does Certs edit

I question this. First of all, the image is more free than the the replacment image
because it a drawing, hence original creative work that creates a new copyright, whereas Image:Cinnamon Certs.jpg is a mechanical reproduction with no creative elements, hence it some jurisdictions it may be not be considered entirely free. (This is different from the situation at Eclipse (mints), where at least there is an element of creativity in the photograph. All things being equal, it is better to use a more free image when practicable. Also, Image:Certs breathmint 2005 package.jpg shows the "new look" package while Image:Cinnamon Certs.jpg shows the older package; both should be be shown, or if only one then the current package. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. Retsyn - green flecks edit
The article says retsyn gives it the green flakes...then how come my assorted fruit certs have no green flakes? they are orange, but the package still says it contains retsyn? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.11.0.7 (talk) 11:08, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

- I didn't make it up, but the company did. Retsyn is a made-up word; it is basically copper gluconate. Why they wanted to put copper gluconate in a breath mint I don't know -- it seems to serve no function. I don't know about copper gluconate, but copper carbonante, or verdigris, is green -- it is copper carbonate that gives the Statue of Liberty its color. Why fruit certs haven't green flecks I don't know, but I suppose they didn't want them in the fruits, and so found a way to suppress them -- perhaps by reducing the amount of "retsyn", although I don't know. What's with the chevrons? edit
In the Classic Fruit Flavor section, the flavor is surrounded by spaced chevrons:

Topic picture edit
is HIDEOUS. Tells you nothing of importance. I guess you guys were too hot and bothered about this picture and that picture, and I assume, someone with a sense of humor placed that "draft of a cert" in the topic.
I mean, really. When I am reading a page about a breath mint, am I looking for its drafted dimensions? WTF?

Does anyone know if the Certs mints are still avaiable to the american market? If no, then we need some reliable information about the status of this candy (for real)!
Oh, and of course: It was me who edited the page and put the "it was discountinued since 2018" thing, because I saw this information in some blog, but I don't think that's true. XD Editor049 (talk) 00:08, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
What a mess... edit
Wow, who wrote this? I thought I was at the wrong article at first. The infobox looks more suitable at describing a planetary body or an element on the periodic table. Why is the exact dimensions, volume, mass, density, ingredients, nutrition, etc relevant info? No other food or candy article employ such excessive info. Some info could easily go into the body of the article instead; the infobox is suppose to be a ***short*** summary but as it is now it is more detailed (and cluttered) than the text body. The opening line leads with the slogan instead of being direct and saying it is a mint. Too much is written on the geometry of the mints. Too much is written on advertisement campaigns. It was painful to read and I didn't get a sense of what Certs are after reading it. Jigen III (talk) 05:01, 13 July 2023 (UTC)
