Possible mistakes

edit

"The ruins are located 14 14 miles (23 km) from Chiclayo and cover 13 square miles (34 km²)" 14 is repeated although it probably shouldn't be.

"The ruins are the first evidence in northern Peru about Wari culture, which was predominantly based in south Peru between the 7th and 12th centuries BC" "The city was part of the Wari empire that ruled the parts of Andes mountains in Peru between the 7–12th century AD" Those last two quotations appear to contradict each other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.24.13.12 (talk) 20:48, 17 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

"The ruins are the first evidence in northern Peru about Wari culture, which was predominantly based in south Peru between the 7th and 12th centuries, BC." But the Wikipedia page on Wari culture, it says this culture lasted only until about 900 CE. This appears to be a conflicting statement. Doug (talk) 01:51, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article name

edit

I started this article under the title Northern Wari ruins as at the time no name for the site was reported that I could see. However, more recent news articles have referred to the site as Cerro Patapo. Should the article be moved? Grunners (talk) 00:38, 18 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Done! --Againme (talk) 21:55, 19 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not very well done. You didn't change it as Grunners requested, and you didn't even include a redirect from what he or she requested. Gene Nygaard (talk) 07:32, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nor did you fix the sort keys for the categories. Gene Nygaard (talk) 07:34, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hidden away

edit

Why is this hidden away with redlinks at Cerro Patapo ruins and at Cerro Patapo? Cerro Pátapo too, of course. Gene Nygaard (talk) 07:30, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Because I had not do my job :) Now is done.--Againme (talk) 18:12, 20 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

land area - which is it?

edit

the infobox says 5km^2. the text says 13sqmi. the text was there first, but neither number is properly backed up by a ref.pauli133 (talk) 15:23, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The reference says the site "stretches over 3 miles" so I put that in the article. I didn't see either of the other two numbers in the references so I removed those. LonelyMarble (talk) 18:11, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wari Mummy

edit

Several Wari mummies have been excavated from Huaca Pucllana, what does this have to do with anything? I suggest the reference to Pucllana be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.230.120.97 (talk) 17:29, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
