Which mountains can you see from Carn Llidi?
editWe say that you can see the Wicklow Mountains (south of Dublin). However, I suspect that the Irish mountain that is most often visible may be Mount Leinster, NW of Wexford. Can you see Snowdon? The map shows that Snowdon is about the same distance as the Wicklow Mountains, the line-of-sight would clear Strumble Head [1], and Snowdon is a bit higher than Lugnaquilla in the Wicklow Mountains. The mountains on the Llŷn Peninsula are more isolated so might be clearer than Snowdon. My calculations indicate that Bardsey Island would be below the horizon.
I am dubious the National Park source. Can we find a better one, and one that says that you can see Snowdonia on a clear day (if this is accurate)? Verbcatcher (talk) 22:29, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
- I addes another source where is said that from hilltop you can spot the Wicklow Mountains. About other mountains visible from Carn Llidi I couldn't say; when I was there weather wasn't so good.--Pampuco (talk) 14:39, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
