Should we rename this article to CKCL-FM or create a new article for 'Classic 107 FM'? edit
Format, branding and call sign have officially changed for this station as of December 5, 2013, with the former call sign being CFEQ. Should the article be renamed to reflect this? We could ask for a move of this article to the current call sign 'CKCL-FM' or create a brand new article with the station's current brand name, which is 'Classic 107' (alternately 'Classic 107 FM'). I think that creating a new article would not pass the notability criteria, because the station is still physically in the same city, and there would be duplication of its history.
Moving the entire article to a new title may also be unnecessary, as the owner of the station and the frequency remain the same. If anyone has any opinions about this, please add to the discussion below, indenting your response for ease of viewing (using an extra starting colon as ":" for every new indentation).
If we decide to move this article "CFEQ-FM" to "CKCL-FM", an automatic redirect page will be created during the process, to accommodate any viewers who did not know about this change and are still looking for the old call sign CFEQ. As there is already a redirect page for "CKCL-FM", that one would first have to be deleted for the process to work (to resolve a conflict). If there is no significant history at the redirect page, as is the case for CKCL-FM, we may be able to make the move without a problem -- WP:MOVE.

- FYI, I already added a new line at the top of the disambiguation page for CKCL in case anyone comes looking for "CKCL" on their first attempt. If they entered "CKCL-FM" in the Search box for Wikipedia, unfortunately they were taken to the article for CFUN-FM which was a dead end and did not help at all in redirecting anyone to the CFEQ-FM article. This has now been remedied by adding a hatnote at the top of "CFUN-FM" indicating that CFEQ-FM is now CKCL-FM. -- Skol fir (talk) 03:24, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
New logo for CKCL-FM edit
The station's new website has a new logo -- Classic 107 Logo. Can this be uploaded to Wikipedia as a new image with the accompanying "Non-free media information and use rationale" to create an appropriate copyright license for Wiki use? Transmitter for CKCL-FM is really 100,000 watts? edit
It has been brought to our attention (diff here) that for over a year the forerunner of CKCL-FM has been operating the signal at 100 kW. This appears to be true, based on the fact that it shares the same transmitter site with CHVN-FM, which broadcasts from an antenna west of Winnipeg (between Oak Bluff and Starbuck, just south of Springstein). That antenna has a HAAT of 223 m, which matches the one listed for CFEQ-FM just before it became CKCL-FM -- REC Broadcast Query for CFEQ-FM. However, the status there is listed as "Status: Referred to CRTC".
If someone has more recent information to confirm this, please add the citation to the infobox next to the 'erp line' saying 100 000 W. I know that CHVN-FM, its sister station, acquired the Global transmitter site (formerly used by CKND TV/Global TV of Winnipeg) around the year 2000. I just don't know for sure if CKCL-FM is already physically tapped into that transmitter, or if they are working on it. It would be nice to have confirmation of this, which so far I have failed to find anywhere in online databases for radio stations in Canada. --Skol fir (talk) 14:41, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
Studio Location edit
It appears that "Classic 107" moved from 20 St. Mary's Rd. (St. Boniface) to 1-741 St. Mary's Rd. (St. Vital) which is also CHVN's studio loation (owned by the same company). I was going to snap a photo for this page today, but there is just a "For Lease" sign where the station's studio was. Jimj wpg (talk) 03:13, 2 December 2019 (UTC)
