I have not fully determined the notability of this. I can't access the two sources currently listed in order to verify them at the moment. I also found one additional source that may mention the tunnel, but I can't read it at the moment: Heatherwick, Thomas (September 2020). "Shanghai Bund: The Impact of Context".
