@Air.light: I've declined this since the article states that Thomas participated in the Olympics twice. This is enough for her to pass speedy criteria and while I'm not overly familiar with sports notability criteria, competing at the Olympics would likely be enough for her to pass notability guidelines as a whole. However the important thing is that she passes speedy criteria, which is a far lower bar to pass than overall criteria. If you want to pursue deletion, you should go through WP:AfD.
