Casting edit
The casting subsection was added and expanded[1] a while back to include the claim that the character Daisy was inspired by Anne Heche but the sources seem contradictory.[2] The latter source quotes Steve Martin: "I wasn't thinking of Anne," Martin says. "Anne and I are still good friends. Only that last scene could be identified with her at all."
In any case, the note seem more about what Martin was thinking when he wrote the script, not what the film makers were thinking when they were casting the part. Maybe there are other sources that could clear this up? -- 109.79.73.154 (talk) 13:59, 7 October 2021 (UTC)
