Sete seems to have played instruments other than just the conventional 6 string guitar - He can be seen playing something akin to a balelika (sp?) on the cover of "Autentico! Bola Sete and his new Brazilian trio." This would make for a useful addition to this entry.

I'm a retired audio engineer and IT Consultant, and was already a fan of Bola when I got to mix sound for him at the Inn of the Beginning (Cotati, Calif.) in 1978. I was introduced to Bola Sete by his wife, Anne Sete, whom I met at my day job when I unknowingly commented about her desk nameplate, "That's interesting; you have the same last name as one of my favorite guitarists. Have you ever heard of Bola Sete?"
I don't know how long they were married, but Anne was with Bola in at least the last few years of his life.
Interesting note: Bola was definitely not into drugs, but meditated privately for several minutes before each performance to better connect to his music. He was actually a very spiritual man when I met him.
This is a section that needs rewriting to just talk about Bola's life (eliminating references to me, but adding more info)
