Bishop Kenny High School is known for its notorious drug problem

Can you cite this? -FisherQueen (Talk) 12:33, 22 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

It actually isn't. When compared to other public and private schools in its area, its drug problem is actually very small.

Schoolcruft edit

I've removed some of the accumulated trivia; more editing would be desirable. Details of AP courses and credits may probably be dispensed with. Acroterion (talk) 02:09, 12 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Athletics edit

Athletics need to be mentioned, not so much by name as by trophy (state more than district) over the years. Also 50% participation is of interest and should be mentioned. THAT is unique! Student7 01:12, 16 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Bkhs logo.jpg edit

Image:Bkhs logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I added a Fair Use Rationale to the logo and removed the message on the article page. It should be fine for now. Phydend (talk) 16:57, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Notability edit

Notability cannot be "proclaimed," or we would have articles overflowing with self-described notables. It must be proven with scholarly references. Attachment to the school must also be footnoted. This has been done for several people without Wikipedia articles but not for Bchiri. Without some reference, he cannot be considered notable. Or an alumnus either. Student7 (talk) 01:58, 28 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree Marc Bchiri is not notable, and should be deleted. All the rest should be kept 69.23.202.204 (talk) 02:11, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Not notable, only 20 Google search results on this name: ]. Most of them are merely community websites where he has created an account, two times wikipedia, not one that counts as a reliable source. =Species8473= (talk) 15:19, 2 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Third opinion edit

Hi, a third opinion was requested. And I will try to help by providing one. Material in articles must be verifiable, sections or lines that are not can be tagged for citation. Unless the material is very questionable, other editors should then be given a fair amount of time to work on it. Citations must also be accurate, the citation for Jim Turner for example doesn't appear to state he was a student at this high school. =Species8473= (talk) 12:37, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dress code edit

The dress code is typical for a Catholic school though all schools have a dress code. The section should be severely shortened because it is uninteresting. Unique qualities of the school should be presented not the same ones that everyone else has. The section should be severely shortened or even eliminated. Few Catholic high schools have bothered to insert this uninteresting information because they recognize it as typical.

Why do you find it so interesting?Student7 (talk) 22:15, 6 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
