Birth / Death categories edit

In this case we do not have any data on when the subject of the article was born or died. Therefor it is correct to apply the cats "Year of birth missing" and "Year of death missing". If these two categories are present then the additional categories "Date of birth missing" and "Date of death missing"should not be used. Quoting from the description of the category Date of birth missing:

This is a unique category and is intended to be mutually exclusive with :Category:Date of birth missing (living people), Category:Date of birth unknown, Category:Year of birth missing, and Category:Year of birth unknown

Use one or the other then - why are you simply removing completely? GiantSnowman 15:41, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don't understand your question. Both my edits removed Category:Date of birth missing and Category:Date of death missing leaving Category:Year of birth missing and Category:Year of death missing, which is correct per my answer above.
What is it that I am incorrectly "removing completely"? --Quiet Editor (talk) 18:32, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
Apologies - I hadn't noticed the two 'hidden' categories that remained. GiantSnowman 19:25, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
No problem - glad we're in agreement. --Quiet Editor (talk) 20:45, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
