Untitled edit

There is no direct evidence of an Iron Age settlement at Berkeley. This was a mistaken analysis and has since been retracted.

Existing content reorganised into sections edit

This article now has four sections, grouping the paragraphs together by subject and with the history in chronological order. I had to move paragraphs around but without losing anything, except to remove some repetitions of the point about continuous occupation by the family. I constructed a leading section containing the most notable points, as per WP:LEAD. I also distributed the existing three images across the sections.

I found some references for the section on Edward II but the last two sections don't have any references as yet. I removed the one reference which did exist, which was to a webpage whose content is a copy of the Wikipedia text of this article (it was attributed to wikipedia) - so it was a circular reference. The new structure should hopefully make it easier for us to find the citations needed. -- Aegoceras (talk) 10:21, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

(re-edited the above to add a preceding /div tag as without it, it was appearing within the Wikiproject banner) - Aegoceras (talk) 10:29, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
